We started hanging out in the middle of April and my birthday is May 18th. My family celebrates birthdays, so I remember inviting him to come have cake with us. Olivia told him to get me a small gift and come over to my house for cake. He never showed up. He told me he had to work late and I figured he was busy, so I blew it off. He told Olivia that he was uncomfortable and that he didn’t want to be around my family yet. Olivia asked me what he got me for my birthday and I said nothing. It wasn’t a big deal though because we had only been hanging out for a short time. By May 24th we had been hanging out regularly for a while. We were at Walmart again and I said are we going to start dating or just keep hanging out. I’m the type of person that gets in serious relationships that last a long time. He told me that he was old and he figured he didn’t have to ask me out that we basically already were. I told him that he actually had to ask me if he wanted to be with me, so he asked me in the jewelry section of Walmart! That’s when my life took a change for the worst!

The first month was great. He was texting me 24/7, about normal stuff, but everything ended with being “naked.” I thought it was just a joke. He wanted to hang out with me all the time, he helped me with Lefty’s stuff when I needed it, we became workout partners, and everything was great. I remember a week or two after dating he sent me a text message that said, “I think I more than like you.” I said, “I more than like you too,” and he said, “No, I love you.” I thought it was fast, but normal, because he was a really great guy. Things kept going good for the first month. My mom remembers me telling her that I think I found my soul mate, neither of us drank, we both loved the gym, and we both worked hard. It was a match made in heaven! I even remember showing him where I wanted to get married. After about a month of dating we slept together for the first time, it was awkward, and that’s when everything went to shit because he now knew he had control.
